The Surveyor and Land Office will be Integrated

To make the service delivery of land administration effective, the land surveyor’s office and the property office will be integrated.

Dr. Damodar Regmi, Secretary of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, said that Napi and Malpot are two offices of the same nature and that the service users are facing problems in running two agencies and also to bring frugality in government expenditure.

While addressing the employees of the surveying department, he said that since the surveying administrators are subject experts and skilled, they should use this skill to get simple and hassle-free service for the people.

He said that it is necessary to have land ownership for both those who have land and those who do not have land in the country. The surveying department should prepare the details of all the related land and help create an environment that gives land ownership even to the landless.

Janakraj Joshi, director general of surveying department, said that it is not necessary to have two offices, Malpot and surveying, in the district. This is also the demand of the people, he said.
