Decision to Make Contract Employees Permanent Through Internal Competition

Tribhuvan University has decided to make the employees working on contract for 10 years permanent through internal competition.

Tribhuvan University has decided in Pusa 2079 to make the teachers who have been on contract for 10 years permanent in the position of deputy professors through internal competition and has chosen the same way for the contract employees.

Chancellor and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ chaired and Vice-Chancellor and Education Minister Ashok Kumar Rai attended the Tribhuvan University Assembly meeting on Asar 12 last decided to amend the rules related to teacher and staff services.

In the revised rules, it is said that ‘special internal competition can be held for teachers and employees who have served 10 years in temporary or contractual service with the approval of the central office in the regular posts of the university’.

After this amendment, teachers and employees who were under contract before 2070 will be allowed to participate in internal competition. It is said that the internal competition will last only till 2081.
