
The results of the election held to select a new leadership from the 24th general convention of the CPN-UML-affiliated Students’ Union (ANNFSU) have been made public.
The final results of the voting conducted through electronic machines on Thursday were published on Thursday night. Sujan Kadariya has been elected as the president by a margin of 7 votes. He received 732 votes while his rival Prakash Poudel received 724 votes. Bikash Shrestha has been elected as the open vice president and Anjana Siwakoti has been elected as the women’s vice president. They received 788 and 775 votes respectively.
Similarly, Deepak Dhami received 785 votes as the general secretary, while Kamal received 816 votes as the deputy general secretary.
Similarly, Akash Gharti Magar, Rachana Sapkota, Samim Babu Khan and Gopal Nepal have been elected as the four secretaries. They received 360, 304, 273 and 268 votes respectively.
Similarly, Jit Prasad Sitaula has been elected as the president of the Election Commission, Prabin Giri as the vice president and Bishal Parajuli as the secretary.
While Anjali Lamsal won the position of Chairperson of the Accounts Commission, Samiksha Dhakal the position of Vice Chairperson and Gagan Singh Basnet the position of Secretary, Suman Ghimire won the position of Chairperson of the Disciplinary Commission, Akash Giri the position of Vice Chairperson and Smriti Adhikari the position of Secretary.
Similarly, Prakash Bista, Chairperson of the Policy Planning and Research Commission, Yogesh Bam the position of Vice Chairperson and Bishnu Pandey the position of Secretary have won from the Commission.
The general convention, which has been going on since Jestha 25 at Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, was held on Thursday to elect a new leadership.
