The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, through the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (Inclusive Education Branch), has issued an important notice regarding the distribution of special scholarship funds to students studying in grades 6 and 9 in public schools for the academic year 2080 (2023/24).

The scholarships, based on the Poverty Measurement Tool (PMT), are part of the “Special Scholarship Management Procedure 2080” initiative. Students identified under the PMT system will receive scholarships as per the verified lists.

According to the guidelines, the scholarship funds will be deposited into the bank accounts of verified students. For this purpose, all local levels are instructed to ensure that students’ bank account details are collected and submitted on time. If a student does not have a bank account, local authorities are directed to assist in opening one and ensure the transfer of scholarship funds accordingly.

The center has asked all schools to complete the verification process of students’ eligibility by 2082/03/05 and make sure the scholarship funds for verified students are available. Any remaining cases must be verified and submitted by 2082/03/15.
