The National Examination Board is preparing to announce the results of this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE) within the third week of Ashar(असार).
According to the annual schedule, the NEB is doing the necessary work to publish the results of the SEE examination.
Bishnu Narayan Shrestha, Controller of Examinations, informed that answer book examination and peer examination are currently being conducted in all 77 districts.
He informed that if there is no technical problem, the board is preparing to publish the results at the time specified in the annual schedule.
The board has designated 51 centers across the country for examination of answer sheets. There is a rule that the answer sheet should be sent to the center after testing it. After receiving the answer sheets from all centers, the board has a provision to enter the results into the computer and re-test the results and publish the results.
In the examination conducted from 17th to 29th of Chait last year, 4 lakh 85 thousand 396 (students 2 lakh 42 thousand 712 and male students 2 lakh 42 thousand 674) from 12 thousand 83 schools took the examination from 2 thousand 37 examination centers.
Among the total number of examinees, 15,461 examinees from 505 schools, including technical schools, participated in the examination.
Last year, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology revised the guidelines on alphabetization and made arrangements to bring a minimum of 35 percent for theoretical and a minimum of 40 percent for practical. The guidelines closed the way for admission in class 11 to those who scored less than 35 marks as ‘non graded’, while the old guidelines opened the way for admission to class 11 by considering those who scored less than 20 marks as ‘E’. This time, the board has not been able to take an official opinion on how the results will be announced.
