Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant has said that students should not be given NOC without passing their diploma. Addressing the National Dialogue Program on Sustainability and Excellence of Community Campuses on Saturday, Minister Pant said this.
He said that students should not be sent out of the country under any circumstances as soon as they pass grade 12. He said that the government needs to think about this as they are young when they pass grade 12. He said that all political parties need to be unanimous and take bold decisions. He said that the future of the country is getting dark due to going to study abroad without a diploma.
Minister Pant said, ‘Honestly, what I have in mind is that there should be a national debate, my belief that students who have passed Plus Two should not be sent out of the country under any circumstances is getting stronger. It is not possible to say whether they are old enough or not, some consultancies have sent them to Korea with 10,12,15 lakhs and said that they will get a job worth this much. Those universities are not good. They tried to stop them but failed. In this situation, our higher education is. If you look at the bank, it will be 1 trillion or so, but if you look at the money they are taking illegally, it is 2 trillion. It is not possible, but the nation should unanimously take a bold decision.
Minister Pant said, “There is extra talent, they get scholarships from good universities, even if they do Plus Two, let’s send them. But if not, let’s not send them. Trump has already seen that those who spend 10 million are sent away with a sack. If the political parties do not decide unanimously as much as possible, then only one minister cannot do it. Stop going abroad as soon as they pass Plus Two. Otherwise, if we want to keep the future of the country in mind, at least we should stop giving NOCs without passing a diploma. The current situation shows that.”
Minister Pant said that the fascination with foreign countries should be controlled. He said that the country is becoming hollow inside and that the Ministry of Education is the one to reform it. He said that he is worried about what to do to prevent student migration and that he does not even sleep at night.
