Tribhuvan University Opens Second-Year Partial Exam Forms

The Office of the Controller of Examinations of Tribhuvan University (TU), Balkhu, has officially opened the application process for the partial (back-paper) examinations for second-year students enrolled in four-year bachelor’s degree programs.

According to a notice published on Sunday, students from the faculties of Management, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science are eligible to apply for the exams scheduled to be held in 2081 BS (2024 AD). The notice specifies that this opportunity is for students who were admitted in the academic year 2079 BS (2022 AD) and first appeared in their first-year regular examinations in 2080 BS (2023 AD).

Key Dates and Deadlines:

  • Regular Fee Application Period: From June 23, 2024 (Ashadh 9, 2081) to July 22, 2024 (Shrawan 7, 2081).

  • Late Fee (Double Fee) Application Period: Until July 29, 2024 (Shrawan 14, 2081).

Fee Structure:
The university has set the following fee structure for the examination:

  • Examination Fee: Rs. 770

  • Application Form Fee: Rs. 50

  • Exam Center Fee: Rs. 100

  • Practical Exam Fee (per subject): Rs. 150

  • Practical Exam Fee (two or more subjects): Rs. 250

  • Field Work, Term Paper, or Project Work Fee: Rs. 350

This makes the minimum total fee for a student applying with a regular fee Rs. 920, with additional charges for practicals or project work.

Application Process:
Students must submit their completed application forms at their respective campuses. Two recent passport-sized photographs are required—one to be attached to the application form and the other for the admit card.

The university has instructed all affiliated campuses to collect the forms and fees from students and submit them to the Office of the Controller of Examinations within the prescribed deadlines. The notice also provides specific bank account details for depositing the collected fees in different regions of the country.

All eligible students are urged to complete the application process within the stipulated timeframe to be able to sit for the upcoming examinations.
