So far, Rs 11 crore 76 lakh has been deposited in the Corona Virus Infection Prevention and Treatment Fund established by the government. The government last Monday called for a fundraiser for the prevention of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The spokesperson of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office, Rajendra Kumar Poudel, has so far collected Rs 11.76 million. According to him, Rs 20 crore is still coming to the fund.
MPs, employees, and industrialists are contributing to the government’s call for funds to be funded. President Bidadevi Bhandari has deposited two months, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsena a month’s salary.
Similarly, Gazetted Distinguished and First Class employees will deposit seven days, Gazetted Second and Third Class employees five days and Gazette Unaccounted and Uncategorized employees will collect salary of three. The cabinet meeting held last Sunday had decided to set up the fund.
