Temal Rural Municipality-2 of Kavrepalanchok has announced to give a prize of one lakh rupees to the students who get the highest GPA in SEE.
In order to encourage the students to work hard, the ward office has decided to give prizes ranging from 50 thousand to 1 lakh rupees. Ward President Devraj Lama said that the award is also going to be given to help the students in higher education.
Rural Municipality-2, Working Committee meeting held on January 20th took this decision. One lakh rupees will be given to those who get GPA 4.0 in SEE, Rs 75 thousand to those who get GPA above 3.6 and Rs 50 thousand to those who get GPA above 3.2.
In that ward, there is only Sarvodhar Secondary School for secondary level education. Therefore, the award program will be limited to that school only. He said that he will continue this next year as well.
So far the students of that school have not been able to get a high GPA. The principal of the school, Gyanjaman Tamang, said that the prize money is very important for the students. 99% Tamang and 1% Magar students study in the school. This year 18 candidates are participating in SEE
