From now on, students of secondary level can fill the registration form only for class 9.
Until now, it was compulsory to fill the registration form in class 9 and 11. After classes 9-12 were defined as secondary education, there was strong opposition from the stakeholders regarding the tendency to fill double registration forms at the same level.
Chairman of National Examination Board Dr. Mahashram Sharma said, “The registration form filled in class 9 works till class 12.” The board has already decided on this.
He said that in order to manage these things, the work of opening the registration form in class 9 this time has been delayed. In the past, the registration form for class 9 was opened in Asoj/Katik itself. This time, it is planned to open the registration form in the first week of February.
Chairman of the Board Dr. Sharma informed that a new arrangement is going to be made to stop the trend of correcting the name, surname and date of birth of the students. “Students are rushing to correct their name, surname and date of birth long after the results of SEE have been announced,” he said. Even after that, enough time will be given to the school. By doing so, the tendency to make mistakes in name, surname and date of birth will be very less.
According to him, students will be given a period of two months to fill the registration form. After that, a period of three months will be given to the school. The school should submit the registration form to the National Examination Board by next Ashar.
“We believe that by giving this time, there will not be a situation that needs to be corrected later,” Dr. Chairman of the Board. Sharma said, “Students should not have to face the hassle of correcting name, surname and date of birth. It is important for students, parents and schools to be aware of this.”
Currently, there is a provision to correct the name, surname and date of birth within six months of the end of the SEE, but those who took the SLC exam 30, 40 years ago are also going to correct it.
At present, 500 rupees is charged for the registration form in class 9 and 11. Now, by filling the registration form only in class 9, the students save five hundred rupees, while the government has to lose at least about 200 million rupees in revenue.
