The government has given 35 days of public holidays in the year 2080 to be applicable across the country.
According to the notification published in the gazette on Thursday, 35 days leave has been given for various festivals, birthdays and birthdays.
In which the longest holiday is 6 days in Bijaya Dashain and 5 days in Tihar.
The government has also given a holiday for Prithvi Jayanti on Push 27 and Janayudha Diwash on Fagun 1.
In addition to the public holidays applicable throughout the country, public holidays have been given in Kathmandu Valley for Gaijatra, Ghodejatra, Matyendranath voto show and Indrajatra. All over the country, holidays have been given for women on Tij and Jitiya festivals.
Holidays are given to the respective communities on Falgunanda Jayanti, Guru Nanak Jayanti and Mohammad Jayanti.
